Calumny: the making of false or defamatory statements in order to damage someone’s reputation; slander.
Cashier: (v) (trans. Usu. “be cashiered”) dismiss someone from the armed forces in disgrace because of a serious misdemeanor; suspend or dismiss someone from an office, position, or membership.
Chaste: without unnecessary ornamentation. Simple or restrained.

Cogent: (of an argument) clear, logical, and convincing. Plato.

Cognize: perceive, know, or become aware of.

Commensurate: corresponding in size or degree; in proportion. Plato.
Commiserate: express or feel sympathy or pity, sympathize. LB.
Compelling: evoking interest, attention, or admiration in a powerfully irresistible way. not able to be refuted, inspiring conviction; not able to be resisted, overwhelming.
Complacency: a feeling of smug or uncritical satisfaction with oneself or one’s achievements.
Composition: 1. The nature of something’s ingredients or constituents. The way in which a whole or mixture is made up. The action of putting things together, formation or construction. A thing composed of various elements.
Condole: v. express sympathy for (someone); grieve with.
Congenial: (of a person) pleasant because of a personality, qualities, or interests that are similar to one’s own. (of a thing) pleasant because suited to one’s taste or inclination.
Consternation: feelings of anxiety or dismay, typically at something unexpected.
Contrition: the state of feeling remorseful and penitent. (see sec.religion.)
Convivial: friendly, lively, enjoyable.
Copious: abundant in supply or quantity; profuse in speech or ideas.
Cordial: warm and friendly; strongly felt. WSM
Cupidity: greed for money or possessions; from OFr or L for ‘desire’
1 Credulity: a tendency to be too ready to believe that something is real or true.
