Brail: (n) small ropes that are led from the leech of a fore-and-aft sail to pulleys on the mast for temporarily furling it.
Pinnace: a small boat, with sails or oars, forming part of the equipment of a warship or other large vessel. (Lawrence. Oh pinnace on the last wild waters)
Tar: n. a sailor.
